At Marchwood Music, we meet you where you are — literally. Whether you grew up on classic rock, live for pop hooks, or can’t get enough country, we build your lessons around the music you already love. Our teachers break things down into simple, achievable exercises so you’re not just learning scales in a vacuum — you’re learning to play the songs and styles that got you excited about music in the first place. We offer a full curriculum across guitar, drums, piano, bass, and voice, so wherever your musical interests take you, we’ve got a path to get you there.
Why YouTube doesn’t work
It’s tempting to try teaching yourself from YouTube, but there’s a catch: without guidance, it’s easy to learn skills out of order, which usually means more frustration and a lot more time before things click. The video can’t watch you play — it can’t catch the small habits holding you back or tell you exactly what to fix in the moment. With real lessons, you get direct, personalized feedback every step of the way, so you build the right habits from the start instead of unlearning bad ones later.

We have different sized teaching rooms to accommodate either private lessons, smaller classes, as well as a full size classroom. Our student’s safety is a number one priority for us. All of the teaching rooms have a window allowing parents the opportunity to watch part of his or her child’s lesson if they wish to.
Our teaching philosophy is to teach our students the necessary skills, in a simple format to be successful at playing his or her instrument while having fun playing music in a safe and supportive environment.
